Boston Marathon champion John Korir is set to defend his Chicago Marathon title this Sunday.
Korir, who trains in Cherangany, departed for the United States earlier this week after completing his final phase of training. he boarded a flight in Eldoret international airport linking him to Jomo Kenyatta international airport.
Korir who is a marathon star claimed victory in last year’s edition with a stunning time of 2:02:44, ranking him among the fastest marathoners in history.

As one of the six World Marathon Majors, the Chicago Marathon attracts elite athletes from across the globe. Korir will be seeking to replicate or even surpass his previous performance as he takes to the streets of Chicago in pursuit of another memorable win.
