Elisha Kiprop and Valentine Keter are the new champions of the 18th edition Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon held today Sunday in Nairobi.
The duo won the men's and women's 42km races to pocket Ksh2 million each.

Valentine Kipketer outsmarted Naomi Chepkogei in the women’s 42km to win the race in 2:30:02 while Naomi settled second in 2:32:23 and Lilian Chemweno came third in 2:34:14.

In the men’s 42km race Kiprop reclaimed the 2018 feet to win the men’s race in 2:11.07 beating Alphonse Kigen and Joshua Kogo who finished second and third respectively in 2:11.14 for the title.
