Cheruiyot aiming to compete in Tokyo,Japan.

2022 World Under 20, 1,500m champion, Reynold Cheruiyot, will be competing in the 800m during Athletic Kenya track and field meet.

Cheruiyot will use the race  to test his speed during the fourth Athletics Kenya  weekend track and field meet, that will be held at the new laid blue tartan track Afraha Stadium, in Nakuru County. 

Cheruiyot will be competing his first track and field after winning a silver in the 2km loop during the National Cross-Country Championships and a gold during the Sirikwa Classic Cross country which were held in February in Eldoret City, Uasin Gishu County. 

He added that his target will be the elusive 1,500m medal at the Tokyo World Championships that will be held later this year from 13-21 September.

"i;m aiming to get a slot in team Kenya to be to represent the country at forth coming world championships in Japan , am working hard to bring back Kenya glory in that race
