The African fastest man clocked the fastest time in all of the six heats to win his heat in 10.07 seconds beating Eugene Amo-Dadzie of Britain to second in 10.16 seconds with both qualifying for the finals.

However in the finals, Eugene overpowered Omanyala securing victory in 10.04 seconds as Omanyala came second in 10.07 seconds.
Back in 2021, Omanyala ran his sub 10 races at the same meeting after clocking 9.96 and 9.86 seconds in heats and finals.
Omanyala will now head back to Team Kenya's Pre-Olympic training base in Miramas to sharpen his skills ahead of the World Athletic Championships set for next month in Budapest.
He will face the defending champion Fred Kerly of USA in his quest to become the first African to win gold in 100 metres at the world championships.
