2016 African Championship Race walk Gold medalist Samuel Gathimba representing the Central region, dominated the men’s 10,000m race walk—the first day of the second AK Weekend Meeting.
Gathimba took a command lead clinching the title clocking 41:44.7. Ahead of Heristone Wanyonyi Wafula (Police), timed 42:40.6, while Africa under-18 bronze medalist Stephen Kihu Ndangiri (Prisons) secured third place to complete the podium.
