Former African Games 5000m champion Robert Kiprop triumphed in the 10km Senior Men’s race at the third leg of the Athletics Kenya Iten Cross Country Championships on Saturday (2) at the Iten Sports Grounds in Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The 27-year-old overcame a strong elite field, which included Asbel Kiprop Kiprono, the winner of the Machakos Cross Country Meeting, and Vincent Kiptoo. Kiprop successfully defended his title, finishing first with a time of 30:38.7. Kiprono took second place with a time of 30:47.7, while Kiptoo secured third in 31:20.4.
