Memorial Agnes Tirop World Cross Country Tour, scheduled for Eldoret next month has been officially launched.
According to the organisers four-time world cross country champion Geoffrey Kamworor and world record holder in 5000m and 10,000m, Letesenbet Gidey of Ethiopia have confirmed participation in the world tour named after athlete Agnes Tirop, who was found murdered in her house last October.

The event is set for February 12 at Lobo village in Eldoret.The national cross county championships set for this month at the same venue will be a curtain raiser for the world event.
The tour, the only one in Africa, was launched by Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed. The CS was accompanied by Athletics Kenya (AK) President Jack Tuwei and Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago.
