Kosgei breaks Barcelona marathon course record

Samuel Kosgei wins Barcelona marathon

Kenya's Samuel Kosgei rule the roost at the 42nd edition of Barcelona marathon held on Sunday in Spain, breaking the course record.
In women's race Ethiopian Tadu Teshome emerged the winner. 

Little known Kosgei won the title in 2:06.03 to break the course record ahead of Moroccan Othmane El Goumri in 2:06.30 and Mohamed Ziani in 2:06.33 followed in that second and third respectively.

Teshome shone in women's race lifting the title, as she lead compatriots to a podium sweep in 2:23.53.
 Meseret Gola (2:24.09) to second and Meseret Belete to third in 2:24.26. 

Thee best Kenyan women was Vane Nyaboke who finished in 6th position after timing 2:25.32 with fellow Kenyan Esther Chesang in 7th place timing 2:26.11
